Lokaltools is a free utility service provided by Modern Logic Tech Solutions (Reg. No: 202503109774 (003722143-P)). By using our tools, you agree to the following usage guidelines.

General Questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

Our local file, text and chart tools process content on your device using JavaScript, browser APIs and, where needed, WebAssembly. Our usage events do not include filenames, file contents, input text, chart values, raw errors, emails or license references. Network lookup tools (such as DNS, WHOIS, IP and speed tests) contact external services for their stated purpose. Loading the website, fonts, libraries and models also makes network requests. WebAssembly itself does not prevent network access.

How does the Internet Speed Test work?

The Speed Test generates temporary "dummy data" (random noise) within your browser to test your upload and download speeds. It does not access, upload, or transmit any of your personal files or system data.

Where are my "Favorite Tools" saved?

Optional analytics and advertising start off. Use Privacy settings in the footer to accept, reject or change each purpose. We store that choice locally for up to 180 days. Analytics cookies are configured for up to 60 days without automatic extension. Withdrawing analytics stops collection and clears accessible GA cookies without discarding your open files; it does not erase data already received. Necessary theme, favorites, tool settings and account/session storage support requested functions. Clearing browser storage resets these preferences.

Tool-Specific Legal Disclaimers

PDF Tools (Unlock & Sign)

  • Unlock PDF: This tool is provided for recovering access to files you own or have explicit permission to modify. Do not use this tool to bypass copyright protections, DRM, or access unauthorized documents.
  • Sign PDF: The "Sign PDF" tool provides a generic "freehand" electronic signature. It is not a certified digital signature (e.g., eIDAS, ESIGN, or Adobe Sign compliant). It is intended for casual use only. Do not use it for high-value legal contracts, government forms, or banking documents.

Media Tools (Audio & Video)

  • Video/Audio Downloaders: Tools that extract audio or video are for personal archiving and offline viewing only. You must ensure you have the legal right to download the content. We do not condone piracy or copyright infringement.

Text-to-Speech

Voice License: The audio generated by this tool uses the system voices installed on your Operating System (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS). The commercial usage rights for these voices are governed by your OS license (e.g., Microsoft or Apple EULA). Generally, these voices are for personal, non-commercial use only.

Security & Developer Tools

  • JWT Decoder: Your tokens are decoded locally in your browser. We do not log, store, or transmit your tokens or keys.
  • Encryption Tools: While we use standard libraries (e.g., bcrypt.js), these tools are for development and testing. Do not rely on them for mission-critical security infrastructure without independent verification.

Health Tools

BMI Calculator: This tool provides a general estimate based on standard formulas. It is not medical advice. Consult a healthcare professional for accurate health assessments.

Limitation of Liability
